Beloit Police Arrest Two Juveniles in Connection to Saturday Gun Incident

According to the Beloit Police Department, on Saturday at about 7:30 p.m., police received a report that a juvenile was pointing a gun at people in the 1400 block of Townline Ave. Officers made contact with a 17 year old male in the area who matched the suspect description. He was later identified as William C. Buchanan. Buchanan took off running and a foot pursuit occurred. He then fell into a water retention area, which is when he was taken into custody. Officers located a handgun and an extended magazine in Buchanan’s possession as well as Vicodin pills. Buchanan was arrested for resist/obstruct, juvenile in possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a schedule two narcotic. Another 16-year-old male was also arrested for disorderly conduct during this investigation.
