A 71-year-old Beloit man has been sentenced to 3 years in prison and 5 years of extended supervision.
Michael C. McMahon was originally arrested on two counts of possession of child pornography after a 2020 nationwide investigation of a pay-based commercial child exploitation website. After a search of his home, authorities found thumb drives containing child porn. McMahon was arrested again in October of last year after fleeing to Fort Dodge, Iowa after failing to appear in Rock County Court. In January, McMahon plead guilty to a single count of possession of child pornography. A second count was dropped by the court, but was read into record. Yesterday (April 11), Judge John Wood sentenced McMahon, where he must also register as a sex offender for 15 years.
