Beloit resident 31 year old Matthew John Barry is facing a charge of child abuse intentionally causing harm after an incident that occurred on May 9. On May 10, a $1 thousand bond was set and he was ordered to have no contact with an involved victim, their residence, place of employment, vehicle, or elsewhere. He must also remain in his residence between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. except while at work or traveling to and from work. Barry has an upcoming court appearance on May 18 at 1 p.m.
