Beloit City Council Approves Reconstruction of Shore Drive

At this week’s Beloit City Council meeting, they approved the reconstruction of Shore Drive from Maple Avenue to the south. The project will also include the installation of a pedestrian island and Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon system at the multi-use path trail crossing of Maple Avenue. Currently, Shore Drive is deteriorated with aged pavement, and has poor storm water drainage. The total cost of the project is $287,295.75.
