Athletics Complex Update In Whitewater

At Monday’s Whitewater Unified School District School Board meeting, an update was given on the construction of the Whitewater High School Athletic Facilities. The project is reportedly on track, with cement curb installation and dirt hauling taking place this week. However, some questionable soil found at the site could delay this process, depending on the results of sample analysis.

The Board also approved two change orders for the project. One would lower the height of the high jump area in the south D-zone, making it level with the field. The other would call for the installation of track pads and crane pads over water lines to prevent them from damage when driven over. The changes are estimated to cost about $28,000.
