According to an update from the City of Janesville, during the week of September 19 certain locations in the city may see water service interruptions due to the replacement of public side lead water services in the area. Contractors will notify affected customers with a door hanger 24 hours prior to work being started. Water shutoffs are estimated to be less than four hours in length. The following areas may be affected:
South Blackhawk Street from Sycamore Street to Clark Street
Clark Street from South Blackhawk Street to South Fremont Street
These roads will be open to local traffic only during the construction process, and will resume normal traffic upon completion of service replacements on the day of operations. For questions, contact the Janesville Water Utility at (608) 755-3115.
