According to an update from the City of Janesville, during the week of August 29 certain areas in the city may see temporary water service interruptions due to the replacement of public side lead water services in the city. Contractors will notify affected customers with a door hanger 24 hours before work starts. Water shutoffs are estimated to be less than four hours in length. The following areas are anticipated to see interruptions:
East Centerway from Williams Street to Cornelia Street
Marshall Place from East Milwaukee to East Court Street
Additionally, East Centerway will be closed to through traffic between Milton Avenue and Parker Drive from August 29 through September 1. Detours will be posted along the route, utilizing Parker Drive, Milwaukee Street, and Milton Avenue.
