A Shots fired incident along the Rock River led to two arrests on Tuesday according to Janesville Police. A small group of people were fishing along the Rock River when they heard the shots and didn’t think anything of it until one of the shots went by them. JPD was called to the Happy Hollow Landing around 4:30 and while the police were there another shot was heard, the officer immediately got into his squad car and located multiple people upriver at a DNR boat landing. According to police the suspects were target shooting in an area they should not be and in an unsafe direction. Brandon Leonhart was arrested on charges of recklessly endangering safety and obstructing and Keith Phillips was arrested on a charge of obstructing, police also confiscated an DPMS LR 208 assault style rifle. No details were given about the obstruction charge.
