20 Fire Departments Fight Fire in East Troy

Crews from 20 fire departments were called to a fire at the Honey Creek Apartments Thursday morning. The call came around 8am and by the time the first truck arrived the fire had already burned through the roof. Crews fought the fires from all sides and above and quickly put the flames and began to search for the fire source. According to reports the fire started on the backside of the apartment complex on the 2nd floor but the exact cause of the fire is not known. 60-70 people including adults and children were displaced but the salvation army and red cross were on the scene assisting. Officials didn’t know when residents near the fire would be allowed back into the building, no additional details were given including the cause of the fire and the amount of damage sustained, everyone in the building made it out safely and no firefighters were hurt during the fire.
