According to an update from the Whitewater Unified School District, they are looking for a community member to serve on the school board after the passing of board member Jim Stewart. Whoever fills the position will do so until April 25, when Stewarts term was set to expire. Interested candidates must send a letter of interest by Sunday, December 5 to School Board Secretary Jaclyn Tuting at jtueting@wwusd.org. The letter must include why you are interested in serving on the board, and what makes you a good candidate. On Monday, December 6 at 6 p.m. the board will interview and select the best candidate.
