Whitewater Receives $25 Thousand from Department of Natural Resources

According to a press release from the City of Whitewater, they have received a $25 thousand urban forestry grant from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Whitewater is one of 47 communities in Wisconsin to qualify for these funds. The goal of this grant is to help educate the community about the trees that would best thrive in Whitewater and to promote planting and growing of such trees to increase the tree canopy within the city.
