Whitewater resident 50 year old Vernal S. Harding is facing charges including battery or threat to judge, prosecutor, or law enforcement officer, attempt of strangulation and suffocation, battery, and disorderly conduct after an incident that occurred on March 15. On March 16, a bond amount of $10 thousand was set. He was also ordered to not possess or consume alcohol, and he cannot possess any firearms, ammunition, or other weapons. Harding is not to contact two involved victims, and he must avoid their residence, place of employment, or any other place they may be located.
