Wednesday Homicide Suspect in Beloit Released from Custody

According to a press release from the Rock County District Attorney’s Office regarding the recent arrest of Anthony Richmond for Wednesday's homicide in Beloit, investigative reports have not all been completed. Reports thus far show conflicting versions of the incident, and further forensic examinations of the evidence is necessary. Currently, there is no sufficient evidence to warrant filing criminal charges that would require the state to prove charges beyond a reasonable doubt. Anthony Richmond has been released from custody, with conditions that include he is not to leave the state of Wisconsin, he is not to possess any weapons, and he is not to contact the victim’s family or residence. Once the investigation is complete, the Rock County District Attorney will determine if any charges are filed based upon the evidence.
