Watertown Police Respond to Trespassing Case

According to a post from the Watertown WI Police Department, yesterday officers responded to a residence in the 1000 block of N. 4th St. for a trespassing case. The suspect is described as a 41 year old male, who fled the scene before officers arrived. After the suspect fled, an officer was able to contact him via phone. He claimed he would turn himself in later in the day, but did not. Officers contacted the Wisconsin Probation Parole authorities in regards to this suspect, who is on active supervision with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. The Department of Corrections then issued a warrant for the suspect. The suspect then later went back to the same residence and officers found him in the basement, having barricaded himself. The suspect also made threats to harm. The suspect was taken into custody without incident about two hours later and was taken to jail. Charges will be referred to the Dodge County District Attorney’s Office regarding the incident.
