Watertown Police Make 2nd Offense OWI Arrest

According to a press release from the Watertown Police Department, on Tuesday, November 30 at about 3:45 p.m., police and fire were dispatched to Jamesway Dr. at W. Spaulding St. for a truck vs. bike crash. The 17 year old bike rider was treated on the scene for a leg injury, and was transported from the scene by a family member. The driver of the truck was a 52 year old male, and officers noticed signs of impairment and questioned the driver. The driver admitted to drinking a 750 ml. bottle of vodka starting at 7:30 p.m. the night before, and was unsure when he stopped drinking. He was ultimately cited for his second offense OWI causing injury. He was taken to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department, and the case still remains under active pending blood results.
