Watertown Mayor Discusses Main St. Bridge

In the recent Weekly Roundup from the City of Watertown WI Government, Mayor Emily Mcfarland discussed the Main St. Bridge. She noted that the bridge is safe to drive on, but the sidewalk was not safe to walk on. The reason for that is due to an I-beam in question that supports the sidewalk, not the bridge deck that is driven over. Last week the city looked at options towards fixing the repairs, with all the options falling in the six-figure range. The bridge is being inspected every 6 months, and more updates will be given as they become available.
