Watertown Mayor Addresses Potential Demolition and Reconstruction of Riverside Park Bathrooms

In this week's Weekly Roundup from the City of Watertown WI Government, Mayor Emily McFarland addressed that many questions were raised about the possibility of demolishing and reconstructing the bathrooms at Riverside Park. Many residents wondered about why the bathrooms would have to be demolished, and it is because the piping underground has to be redone, and keeping the structure means the city would have to pull out the floor stabilizing the walls and the roof, and gut everything else. Additionally, McFarland noted that it is much more cost effective to demolish and reconstruct the bathrooms due to their need for an update.
