Watertown Man Facing Charges Including Operating a Firearm While Intoxicated

Watertown resident 46 year old Christopher J. Braatz is facing charges including making terrorist threats, operating a firearm while intoxicated, threaten to injure or cause harm through computer message, failure to comply with an officer, and misdemeanor bail jumping after an incident that occurred on August 27. On Tuesday, a $50 thousand bond was set and he was ordered to have no contact with an involved victim or their children. He is also to maintain absolute sobriety, and cannot be present in any bars, taverns, or liquor stores. Braatz must comply with the SCRAM alcohol monitoring program as administered by Wisconsin Community Services, with the consideration of Remote Breath as an alternative only when WCS verifies that a defendant's work environment or health condition prohibits the SCRAM bracelet. Additionally, Braatz cannot possess any firearms or ammunition. He has an upcoming court appearance on September 8 at 1 p.m.
