Watertown Man Facing Charge of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle

Watertown resident 37 year old Jeffery S. Van Beem is facing charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and knowingly operating while suspended causing death after the incident that occurred on January 15. Yesterday in Jefferson County Court, a $7.5 thousand cash bond with conditions was set. He must maintain absolute sobriety, have no contact with a witness, and he is to report and comply with the SCRAM alcohol monitoring program as administered by Wisconsin Community Services.
