Watertown Common Council Approves Submission of Grant Application

At the Monday night Watertown Common Council meeting, they approved the submission of a grant application for the Urban Nonpoint Source and Storm Water Management Construction Grant from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. The grant is for the purpose of implementing measures to control urban storm water runoff pollution sources. The Wisconsin DNR cost share for the project may not exceed 50% of eligible costs, and is capped at $150 thousand. The City’s storm water consultant has estimated that eligible project costs will be about $365 thousand. However, if the city is awarded the grant that price would go down to about $215 thousand.
