Watertown Common Council Approves Grant Submissions

Last night at the Watertown Common Council meeting, they approved the submission of two grants for the Transportation Alternatives Program.


The first grant would be for the Tivoli Island Bridge study. City staff estimate this project will cost about $32 thousand. If the city is awarded the grant, the State and Federal cost share will be approximately $25.6 thousand and the City’s cost share will be approximately $6.4 thousand.


The second grant would be for developing a City-wide bicycle and pedestrian path network plan. City staff have estimated that eligible project costs will be approximately $100 thousand. If the city is awarded the grant, the State and Federal cost share will be approximately $80 thousand and the City’s cost share will be approximately $20 thousand.
