At yesterday’s Walworth County Board meeting, they voted to amend section 30-181 of the Walworth County Code of Ordinances relating to creation of a Lakeland Health Care Center Pandemic/Transition Net Position Allowance. The county says the facility looks to emerge from the pandemic, which has created operational concerns with staffing and the ability to take in new residents which may continue to exist into the near future. Additionally, the County will be facing decisions regarding the vacant wing and upcoming building renovations, which may have some operational challenges as these changes are implemented. This reserve will provide the County with funds available to support the operational needs that may occur due to these circumstances.
