Village President Discusses Village of Johnson Creek 2022 Budget

In an update from the Village of Johnson Creek, Village President John Swisher discussed the 2022 budget. The budget calls for continued improvements in services, which means the Johnson Creek Fire Chief will go from a 30 hour work week to a 40 hour work week. This will help with coverage of both ambulance and fire calls. The 2022 budget also includes the purchase of a new snowplow truck and a new front end loader for the Department of Public Works to replace both Village vehicles, which are each 20 years old. Another purchase is a new computer server to expand available space and improve service times. Additionally, the budget addresses increases in employee wages, specifically positions where wages were below average compared to similar jobs in the area.
