Victim from Town of Beloit Homicide Identified

In a news release from the Rock County Medical Examiner, they have identified the name of the individual who died as a result of homicide in the Town of Beloit. He was identified as 17 year old Byron D. Broomfield Jr. from Rockford, Illinois. The incident occurred on December 9 at about 6 p.m. in the 1900 block of S. Porter Ave. This death remains under investigation by the Rock County Sheriff’s Office and the Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department.
