According to a press release from UW-Whitewater at Rock County, every student who applied for a scholarship this year at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at Rock County has received one. Over $62 thousand dollars in funding was awarded to more than 150 students, which will be payable in the 2022-23 academic year. An additional $53 thousand will be awarded soon to Rock County high school graduates as part of the new Studer Scholars program. This opportunity is designed specifically for students who consider affordability the main barrier to going to college. Ten recipients will also receive one year of free tuition and fees, with the ability to apply for partial scholarships in the second year. The deadline to apply is May 2 for a scholarship that will be paid for the 2022-23 academic year.
