UPDATE One Person Killed In LaGrange Crash, One Charged

We have learned more information regarding the serious crash that shut down Highway 12 in Walworth County this weekend. According to the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office, one person died in the crash that occurred around 11:30 PM Saturday night. Police received a report of a reckless driver on Highway 12 south of CTH A in Sugar Creek. The caller said the vehicle had almost struck another car before crashing into a sign and continuing on Highway 12. Short after 11:30, the vehicle struck another near County H in LaGrange. Sheriff’s Deputies noticed a car in the eastbound lanes that was on fire with one male unconscious and trapped in the vehicle. As a result of the damage and the fire, deputies were unsuccessful in removing the man and he was pronounced deceased on scene. His name has not been identified. The driver of the reckless vehicle has been identified as 33-year-old Timothy Creiglow. He was airlifted from the scene with serious injuries, and is facing the following charges:

-Homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle

-Open intoxicants in a motor vehicle

-Operating left of center line

-Operate while intoxicated 1 st offense

Hid bond was set at $150,000 and other charges could be pending. Firefighters from LaGrange and Whitewater along with Flight For Life, Mercyhealth’s mobile medical doctor, also known as MD1, and the Walworth County Medical Examiner assisted on the call.
