According to an update from the City of Janesville, during the week of August 22 contractors will replace public side lead water services located on Milton Avenue, from Hyatt Street to East Centerway. Residents who live in this area may see temporary water shutoffs occur while work is being performed. Affected residents will be notified with a door hanger 24 hours before work starts. Water shutoffs are estimated to be less than four hours in length.
The outside lanes of Milton Avenue, from Glen Street to East Centerway, will be closed during the duration of the replacement work. Left turns off Milton Avenue will be restricted at Glen Street and Easy Centerway. Janesville Transit System bus stops in this area will be relocated as needed. Riders may contact JTS at (608) 755-3150 for updated location information. Upon completion of the project, all lanes of Milton Avenue will be open to traffic.
