Two Arrested After Suspicious Persons, Vehicle Located In Janesville

Police in Janesville made an arrest over the weekend after an armed subject call resulted in a car being stolen.

The police department says in a media release that on Saturday night around 5:30 PM, police responded to a report of an armed subject near Glen Street and Columbus Circle. A suspicious vehicle, a spray-painted white Ford Explorer, was seen in the area, where a male was seen leaving the vehicle and entering garages. The suspect noticed someone taking photos of him and confronted the subject, brandishing a handgun and destroying the subjects’ phone before fleeing on foot.

Janesville Police blockaded the area and the Rock County Sheriff K9 was deployed. The suspect was found hiding under trees and was taken into custody without incident. He was identified as Terry Foster of Madison. He was wanted in Plover on auto theft charges. He abandoned his handgun before being caught and it was not located, but he did have a can of pepper spray. The vehicle was later located, and Daniel Thompson of Tomah was arrested where it was discovered he was also in possession of methamphetamine.

The vehicle had been stolen from a Plover gas station and several stolen items were found in the vehicle.
