Tuesday Morning Shooting Results in Death of Elkhorn Man

In a Racine County Sheriff’s Office press briefing, they discussed how this morning they responded to a shots fired incident in Caledonia at about 7:30 a.m. A 22 year old white male from Elkhorn was filling his car with gas when he was shot by a 32 year old white male from Hartland. Another individual was shot at in the parking lot but remained uninjured. The suspect then left the scene in a vehicle traveling eastbound on Highway K, then eventually pulled into a mobile station on Highway K and Highway H in the Village of Caledonia. At this location there was an undercover investigator. The suspect approached the investigator and shot at him, and the investigator returned gunfire, shooting the suspect dead. The investigator was taken to the hospital as a result of gunfire injuries. More information on the story will be given as it becomes available.
