Town of Delavan Police Respond to Burglary of Local Business

According to a press release from the Town of Delavan Police Department, on Friday, January 7 at about 3:15 a.m. they were notified of an activated burglar alarm at a business on Dam Rd. Officers and Deputies from the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and learned several firearms were stolen from the business. While the Town of Delavan was investigating the incident, Officers from the City of Elkhorn Police Department and Deputies from the Walworth County Sheriff's office located a suspicious vehicle at a gas station in Elkhorn. An investigation revealed firearms in the vehicle that matched the firearms stolen from the shop. As a result of this incident, 24 year old Richey Majors from Milwaukee was arrested and charged with obstructing an officer, criminal damage to property, multiple counts of felon in possession of a firearm, and burglary while armed. Additionally, 19 year old Madison Brakke from West Allis was arrested for party to a crime of burglary. A juvenile referral for party to a crime of burglary was submitted on an additional female juvenile. The town of Delavan Police Department is still investigating the incident.
