Town of Delavan Police and Fire Department's Respond to ATV That Had Gone Through Ice

According to a press release from the Town of Delavan Police Department, today shortly after 1:30 p.m. they along with the Town of Delavan Fire Department were notified of an ATV that went through the ice on Delavan Lake off to the west of Town Park. Officers were informed that the operator was currently holding on to the ATV so that it would not sink. Officers arrived and were able to locate the subject, a 50 year old male from Beloit, on the lake out of the water and standing on the ice. The subject was rescued by the Town of Delavan Fire Department using the air boat and was taken to shore. He was then checked by rescue and released.
