Three Individuals in Burlington Hot Air Balloon Incident Released from Hospital

According to a press release from the Burlington Police Department, the three individuals who were taken to the hospital as a result of a hot air balloon colliding with a train have all been released and are recovering. They have been identified as 62 year old Jimmy Winder from Bristol, 37 year old Nikolay Veltchev from Barrington, Illinois, and 36 year old Elena Petrova of Arlington Heights, Illinois. Winder was the pilot of the balloon, and reported that while attempting to land the hot air balloon in the 400 block of Calumet Street, the gondola touched down and the balloon became entangled with a Northbound Canadian National train.
