According to an update from Walworth County, spongy moths are causing an issue within the county, causing many homeowners to show concern about their trees. For spongy moths, oaks are a preferred food source, but the caterpillars have also been attacking maple, birch, and conifers. The county says spongy moth caterpillars will be gone in a week or so.
