South Beloit Police Responds to Stabbing Incident

According to an update from the South Beloit Police Department, yesterday at about 7:25 a.m. they were dispatched to the 1100 block of Hayes Ave. for an unknown problem. Upon arrival, it was learned that a female had been battered and stabbed. She was transported to the hospital. The suspect, 31 year old Narciso Munoz from South Beloit, fled the scene on foot and was found a short time later by officers. The incident was reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office, and Munoz was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail on charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated domestic battery, and resisting a peace officer.
