According to a post from the South Beloit Police Department, 35 year old South Beloit resident Eric Vance has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, domestic battery, and 3 counts of possession of a firearm without requisite firearm owners ID card after an incident that occurred early Thursday morning last week. Officers responded to the 500 block of Gardner St. after a female reported being struck over the head with a handgun. Officers observed her injuries, and a search of the property was conducted. Officers found three handguns.
