Slow-No-Wake Speed Restriction Placed on Rock River

According to a press release from the Rock County Sheriff's Office, a slow-no-wake speed restriction has been placed on the Rock River between the Indianford Dam and Lake Koshkonong. This is because the water level for Lake Koshkonong is 8.1 feet, and speed restrictions occur when water levels exceed 8 feet on Lake Koshkonong.

The water level for the Rock River in Afton is currently 6.61 feet. County Ordinance requires a slow-no-wake speed restriction be placed on the Rock River from the W B R Townline Road Bridge to the Indianford Dam when water levels exceed 6.5 feet. Deputies will begin placing slow-no-wake signs along the Rock River at all public access points between the W B R Townline Road Bridge and Dallman’s Landing on Lake Koshkonong.
