According to a Rock County Sheriff's Office press release, yesterday they retired Canine Deputy Sasha who was with the agency since August of 2013. Sasha was partnered with Deputy Nate DeBoer for her entire career and was primarily assigned to the patrol division. Beyond her patrol assignment, Sasha also worked with the SWAT Team and the Special Investigations Unit. Sasha served in many capacities including conducting narcotic sniffs at schools and traffic stops, assisting in locating suspects and missing individuals, as well as assisting other jurisdictions including the Beloit and Janesville Police Departments, the FBI, and DEA. Canine Deputy Sasha conducted over 150 tracks and over 600 drug related searches. She will remain with her partner and his family as she transitions into her retirement.
