Rock County Board Approves Purchase of Vehicles, Radio System Infrastructure, and Carpet Replacement

At last week's Rock County Board meeting, the board approved many purchases. This includes the purchase of two kubota utility vehicles. One is for the jail, 911 Communication Center, and Youth Service Center, and the other is for the Dr. Daniel Hale Williams Rock County Community Resource Center. The total cost for the vehicles is $55 thousand.


The board also approved a purchase in the amount of $221,172.60 for the replacement of the Rock County public safety radio system infrastructure. Additionally, five radio consoles at the backup site, which is at the Town of Beloit Fire Department, are over 12 years old and in need of replacement. This replacement will cost an additional $81,554.60.


Another purchase of $30 thousand to go towards carpet replacement in the Rock County courthouse was approved.
