According to a press release from the Richmond Township Fire Department, yesterday at about 12:20 p.m. they responded to a reported auto vs. a motorcycle accident at Illinois Route 173 and Keystone Road. Mercy MD-1 and a medical helicopter was requested by fire units while en-route. First arriving Richmond Fire units found one patient lying on the ground, off the roadway, near the intersection of Keystone Road and Route 173. Units on scene initiated patient care, and the patient was then transported via helicopter to a medical center in Libertyville, Illinois. The driver of the auto was evaluated, and a medical release was obtained on scene. More information on this story may be given as it becomes available.
