Orfordville Man Facing Charges Including 2nd Offense OWI Causing Injury

Orfordville resident 52 year old Walter John Rice IV is facing charges including hit and run involving injury, 2nd Offense OWI causing injury, failure to yield at an uncontrolled intersection resulting in bodily harm, and failure of operator to notify police of an accident after an incident that occurred on July 1. On July 5, a $2 thousand bond was set and he was ordered to maintain absolute sobriety and must have an alcohol monitor. He also cannot operate any motor vehicle. Rice has an upcoming court appearance tomorrow at 1 p.m.
