North Sidewalk of Main St. Bridge in Watertown Closed

According to an update from the City of Watertown, the north side sidewalk of the Main St. Bridge is closed to the public, effective immediately. A recent routine inspection of the bridge determined that there is insufficient support to the northwest sidewalk quadrant. Traffic lanes and the remainder of the bridge remain in a safe, stable condition. The city will be meeting with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation today to determine repair options.
