More information is being revealed after a Jefferson County man missing for days was found dead in a park near Oconomowoc. In a media release, police in the Village of Summit say that a vehicle was found abandoned at 1:05 AM in the parking lot of Atkins-Olson Memorial Park at 37733 Sunset Drive. It was later determined that the vehicle belonged to a man who was missing from Jefferson County since July 11. The park was in a heavily wooded area and surrounded by corn fields. Numerous agencies from Jefferson and Waukesha counties responded to the area and a large search commenced. Drones were deployed and K-9 dogs from Waukesha County assisted in the search. At 9:27 AM, the man's body was located. His name was not revealed and the investigation is ongoing. There is no foul play suspected.
