According to a press release from the School District of Janesville, a middle school student has been expelled due to conduct that endangered the property, health, and safety of others by battery to another student. The student may earn early reinstatement for the 2022/2023 school year if they participate in mental health counseling, participate in any educational programming provided during the period of expulsion, take all prescribed medications in prescribed doses, and no longer participate in criminal activity. If the student is reinstated early, they must submit to the school district's discretion regarding school placement, comply with juvenile justice case plan (if on probation), continue in counseling, regularly attend class with absences and tardies monitored, and maintain satisfactory grades and behavior.
