Mayor and Alderperson Seats Up for Election in Burlington

According to an update from the City of Burlington, the position of Mayor and District Alderperson 1-4 are up for election on April 5 of 2022. Those interested in any of the positions must file nomination papers by January 4. Candidacy and nomination papers can be obtained from the City Clerk and City Hall. Council members implement programs and services provided by the city and pass ordinances, resolutions, orders, and motions for the City’s government. They also control the City’s property, finances, and appropriation of all money spent on behalf of taxpayers.
