At this week’s Whitewater Common Council meeting, an update was given regarding the lakes drawdown project. The next phase of the project is beginning, which includes restoration and revegetation. Lake bed burning is scheduled for May, along with lake shore restoration and cover crop installation. Live plant installs are scheduled for June of 2022 and 2023. Lake refill is scheduled for June 10, and a post dredging lake assessment will occur shortly after. Fish will be restocked in 2022 and 2023, and fish cribs will be added in winter of 2022 and 2023.
