Lake Geneva Addresses Fireworks Ban

The City of Lake Geneva Fire Department has issued a media release about the fireworks ban in the community. A lengthy post with information regarding the prohibition of fireworks in the community is posted to the department’s Facebook page. Those banned fireworks include any firework that projectiles into the air and explodes, any firework that burns pyrotechnic smoke, any cylindrical fountain that consists of one or more tubes, and cone shaped fountains. The department does clarify that fireworks do not count towards sparklers, toy caps, toy snakes or confetti poppers. Those seeking a permit must have their permit approved by the Fire Chief.
