Jefferson Superintendent Candidate Drops Out

One of the candidates for the Jefferson Schools superintendent position has dropped out of contention. The Daily Union reports that Dr. Jeffrey Fleig has removed himself from contention for the position. Fleig is currently the principal at South Milwaukee High School. There remain two other candidates, Amy Vesperman and Peter Wilson. According to the Jefferson Schools website, the district will hold taped interviews with Vesperman and Wilson on March 31, and will be available to the public next week. The announcement of a new superintendent is expected by April 19.
