Janesville Woman Sentenced to 36 Months in Prison for Conspiracy to Commit Sex Trafficking

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Wisconsin, 29 year old Janesville resident Tonyiel Partee was sentenced yesterday to 36 months in federal prison for conspiracy to commit sex trafficking. After she is released from prison, she will have 5 years of supervised release.

Partee pleaded guilty to this charge on July 8 of this year. In September of 2017, the mother of a minor female contacted the Janesville Police Department after finding Facebook messages on her daughters account that indicated her daughter was buying drugs from an adult male. The investigation revealed that the same man was not only selling drugs to the minor, but also posting her on websites for commercial sex. As the investigation went on, Partee was found to also be engaged in commercial sex for the man, and Partee helped the trafficker recruit women. These women she recruited were drug addicts that would be subject to violence and coercion by the trafficker. More information on this story will be given if it becomes available.
