Janesville School Board Votes to Mandate Masks

At last night’s School District of Janesville board meeting, the board decided that masks will be required for all students, staff, and visitors inside all school district facilities until the end of the first quarter on October 28. There are exceptions for those who are under 5 years of age, and anybody who falls under the CDC’s control and prevention guidelines for those who should not wear a mask due to medical or mental health reasons, developmental disabilities, are covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act, those with upper respiratory chronic conditions, or those with silent disabilities. The board will re-examine the mask mandate on October 28.
