According to an update from the Janesville Police Department, on Friday officers were sent to the 200 block of S. Main St. for a stabbing incident. Officers found the victim in the street with a stab wound to the abdomen, and was taken to Mercy Hospital for surgery. The suspect, 46 year old Willie C. Jenkins was found by officers with fresh blood on his arm. He was taken to the Rock County Jail and is charged with felony 1st degree reckless injury. The police department stated that the suspect and victim are known to each other, and the incident is still under investigation.
